A loss of a loved one is a devastating experience. When I lost my father in 2023, it seemed to be occurring at the most inconvenient time. I was dealing with my own matters and suddenly I found myself challenged with the business of death. Initially, I didn’t have any idea on how I would proceed. I knew I needed to contact someone to handle his body. My mother mentioned A. A. Dicks after recalling the experience her family had when they buried her older sister. I remember her saying that A. A. Dicks will work with you. At the time, I did not fully understand what she meant, but after speaking with him and several other businesses concerning preparations I finally gained my understanding. Rev. Dicks was the only person among the businesses I contacted who showed a genuine concern for my situation and circumstances. He went above and beyond, displaying empathy and compassion in his commitment to help shoulder the responsibility that accompanies death. His consistency in communication and guidance gave me the confidence and clarity I needed to move forward. As a result, I was able to celebrate my father’s life and accomplishments, in a beautiful ceremony, with all his many friends and relatives. I am grateful for all the delicate attention to details and the care that went into the process. A. A. Dicks provided the friendship and guidance I needed to navigate an otherwise difficult and stressful period in my life.

    A. A Dicks Funeral Home was referred to me back in 2009 by two Palmetto Health Hospice Nurses "Angela & Kim". Along with that referral came a story of compassion and outstanding service that stuck with me for several years. In 2014 when my grandmother became ill and I was given notice that I needed to make final arrangements I remembered that referral and gave A.A. Dicks funeral home a call. The day of my appointment, my grandmother's condition worsened so I had to call an cancel my appointment. While in the E.R. Pastor Dicks and Mrs. Kim Hunter stopped by to check on my family and offer a prayer.(Now I have my story of compassion to tell). What Pastor Dicks and Mrs. Hunter didn't know was the majority of my family was from another state and I was clueless on how to make funeral arrangements and scared of the thought of having to do everything alone. After that, unexpected but much needed, visit I knew my grandmother would be in good hands and I would have nothing to worry about. A.A. Dicks Funeral Home provided Outstanding service to my family A+++++.Thanks to Mrs. Kim Hunter My Grandmother looked Marvelous!!! I mean absolutely Marvelous!! The day of the viewing I couldn't feel sad because I could tell a lot of compassion went into my grandmother's preparation. My family is still talking about how good grandma looked and the Awesome Words of Comfort given By Pastor A.A. Dicks Sr. Thanks again AA DICKS FUNERAL HOME. All of you are AWESOME!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
