Services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel, located 2548 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Mrs. Yvonne Johnson Bryant “E. F. Hutton” as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was a family-loving woman that brought joy to any space she entered with her beautiful smile. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, on October 15, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Margarett Johnson. The Heavenly Father called Yvonne to eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at her home in Columbia, South Carolina. In taking leave from the earthly world, Yvonne has taken her place in the unbroken circle, reunited with her parents and sister, Michelle Johnson. Yvonne received her primary education from the public schools of Sumter County. She continued her studies at Benedict College and Claflin University, where she majored in Criminal Justice. She was a caregiver at White Oak Manor Long Term Care Facility for five years, and the patients and co-workers there loved her dearly. Because of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, people often regarded her as a jewel in the workplace. She had a love for interior design, and her eyes were able to arrange furniture and home décor to brighten any room. Yvonne prided herself in helping others beautify their home environment. One of her most successful decorating projects was the design her of daughter, Javon’s home. Another pastime of hers was spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life, as she watched them grow and excel academically and athletically. She enjoyed watching movies with Jocolby, while sharing laughs with Javon and Jermaine. Yvonne’s beautiful life will forever by cherished by: her three children, Jermaine Bryant , Javon Bryant, and Jocolby Brown; five grandchildren, Jania, Jamaria, Ta’Leah, Jaiden, and Nation; her brother, Donald Johnson; her sister, Janice L. Fuller; nephew, Jacob Fuller; nieces, Ashley and Alicia Blanding; her lifelong friend, Joseph Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
