Mr. Leroy Foust

Mr. Leroy "Foot" Foust passed away on Saturday February 8, 2014 in Columbia, SC. Funeral services will be held on Sunday February 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Pine Grove A.M.E. Church, 120 Steward Road, Columbia, SC. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Community Cemetery in Columbia, SC. Visitation will be held Saturday February 15, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel 2548 Main Street Columbia, SC. Leroy Alexander Foust was born January 15, 1957 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was a beloved son of Charlie Mae Foust and the late Leroy Foust; who reared him in a Christian home along with the Pine Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church. Leroy departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 8, 2014. “Foot”, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Lexington-Richland District Five He graduated from Irmo High School and was employed as a Certified Tire & Lube Technician at Walmart, Incorporated. However, Foot was a “jack of all trades”. He would try fixing or assisting with any job to include maintenance, construction, yard work, etcetera… To know Leroy “Foot” was to love him. He was a devoted man who loved fellowshipping with friends and spending quality time with his children. His wife remembers “My Leroy” as the man who help bring her “balance” and “help” her through life. Leroy loved his children and shared his love for fishing, hunting, cooking and assisting others with them. His loving and kind spirit will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew him. Mr. Foust was preceded in death by his father and brothers Albert and Haskel Foust. He leaves to cherish precious memories his devoted and loving wife, Inger Taylor-Foust; daughters, Santana Starks, Precious and Shantanna Taylor; son, Quincy Foust; mother, Charlie Mae Foust; sisters, Annie (Samuel) Roberts, Cassandra Pickett and Laura (George) Reeder; grandchildren, Santasia and Jala Anderson; aunt, Louise Wright; uncles, Eugene (Mary), Matthew (Georgella) and Bernard (Mittie) Foust; sisters-in-law, Cynthia, Jacqueline and Briggette Taylor, Sonia (Roderick) Green and Cathy Foust; brother-in-law, Paris and Franklin (Carol) Taylor; a very special aunt and uncle-in-law, Minnie “Shirley” Grant-English and John (Dorothy) Grant who were more like mothers and fathers-in-law; uncle-in-law, Daniel (Hattie) and Harry Grant; aunts-in-law, Pauline McCormick and Mamie Grant; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him.
