Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2022 at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel, 2548 Main Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. Minister Alexander Randolph, Officiating. Interment to follow in the Promised Land Cemetery. Public viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2022 at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel. Please leave Mr. Joseph Letts family your condolences and prayers Joseph Travious Letts affectionately known as "Travis", was born on July 23, 1975 in Miami, Florida. He was the son of the late Blaundale Roper and Joe Letts. On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, Joseph gained his wings and he's now resting in the arms of Our Heavenly Father. Joseph was educated in the public schools of Dade County, Florida. In 1978, he and his family moved to Holly Hill, South Carolina where he continued his education. Joseph later moved to Miami, Florida and resided there until his demise. He was a people's person, he loved to laugh and joke and he never met a stranger. Through life's ups and downs, he always managed to find his ways through it. His favorite song was "We Fall Down But We Get Up". In 2021, Joseph accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He became a member of F.O.R.M, Fidelity Outreach Ministries, founded by Ministers Alexander and Mary Randolph Joseph attended weekly bible study meetings faithfully and was well received with his profound prayers and testimonies. He even began witness God's words to others and invited several people to join the bible study conference line. Joseph had the opportunity to attend Camilla House of Culinary Arts. He was excited about his journey and looked forward to becoming a professional chef. His desire was to own his own food truck in South Carolina. Joseph's motto was, It's not about where you've been, it's about where you going. He is preceded in death by his parents, Blaundale Roper and Joe Letts. He leaves to cherish his memory: a sister, Lena Roper, of Columbia, South Carolina; three nephews, Cartez, Martez, and Ryan Roper; a niece, Shay Roper all of Columbia, South Carolina; two great nephews, of Columbia, South Carolina; two aunts, Delores (Edward) Gage of Miami, Florida and Minister Mary (Alexander) Randolph of Columbia, South Carolina; two friends in particular, Fred Pickens and Alex Vega, both of Miami, Florida and a host of cousins, relatives and friends
