He was born August 9, 1956 to the late Vernie Bell Glover Parson and Furman Charlie. He was a loving and devoted brother whose presense brought strength, laughter, and comfort to those around him. His life marked by compassion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others. As a dedicated nurse, he gave tirelessly of himself, touching countless lives with his kindness, skill, and gentle spirit. His passion for healing and helping others led him to achieve the highest levels of education, earning his doctorate and serving as a respected professor. He took great pride in mentoring and shaping future generations, leaving behind a legacy of knowledge, excellence and inspiratifon. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a doting uncle who cherished his family deeply. He created lasting memories filled with warmth, humor, and love. To his friends, he was loyal, dependable, and always present. A true source of encouragement and support. He will be rememebered for his generous heart, his wisdom, and the love he freely gave to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the family who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Vernie Bell Glvoer Parson; step-father, Bob Parson; brothers, Mark Glover and Larry Furtick. Left to cherish precious memories are: his father, Furman Charlie; brothers, Robert (Linda) Glover, Benjamin Glover; sisters, Jamie (Minister Stephen) Livingston, Barbara Murph all of Columbia, SC and Lynn (Julio) Rodriques of Jacksonville, FL; an uncle, Marvin (Linda) Glover; an aunt, Cynthia Collum; special cousin, Ruby Mae Rowe and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026 at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home, 6400 North Main Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29203. The Reverend Derrick Myers, officiant.
