Ms. Connie Patricia Addison

Ms. Connie Patricia Addison's reward of eternal life commences on February 10, 2022 at Providence Medical Center on Forest Drive in Columbia, South Carolina. Born in Chester, South Carolina, on December 6, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Thomas James and Naomi Owens Addison but was reared by Willie A. Thompson. Connie confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of Brooklyn AME Zion Church in Chester, South Carolina. As an adult she became a devoted member and servant of Little Zion Baptist Church. Her life was evidenced by miracles and her service to others. Our Heavenly Father continuously used Connie as He performed miracles for His Glory and in return, she thanked Him with a shout, praise and service as an usher, a drama ministry leader, Women of Wisdom, attending Noon-Day Bible Study, The Senior's Ministry, The Hospitality Ministry and Sunday School. Ms. Addison graduated from Chester Senior High with the Class of 1972. She earned her Master Tailors degree from Denmark Technical College, in Denmark, South Carolina and relocated to Columbia, South Carolina. After having children, Connie resigned from her career as a tailor and earned an Associates Degree in Nursing from Midlands Technical College. She faithfully served as an LPN for eighteen years at the William Jennings Dorn Veterans Medical Center, Columbia, South Carolina. After retirement, Connie spent her years serving the church and focusing on family. Left to cherish precious memories and love are: two loving children, Ella Vontay (Antwan) Stafford and Travis Lee (Cametha) Corbin; grandchildren, Kayla Leigh and Kynslee Nicole Corbin, Addison Rae and Ayla Grace Stafford and two honorary granddaughters, Jailyah and Morgan Entzminger; uncles, Thomas Charles Hicks of Chester, South Carolina and Ulister A. Owens; aunts, Floree Addison, Sally Robinson and Ruth Brown; first cousins, reared as siblings, Bertha Booker, Jimmy, Ronald, Ralph, Carolyn, and Derrick, Terry, Reginald, and Allen Ray Wilmore, and Mary Woodard; nieces, Shawn Cade, Louise Cunningham, Tamara Caldwell, and Catrina Caldwell; godsons, Fredrick Boston, and Rick Corbin; a devoted friend whom she loved like a daughter, Renee Entzminger; Extended family, the Entzmingers; a devoted friend, Minnie Moore; the Little Zion Baptist Church friends, a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Little Zion Baptist Church, 8229 Winnsboro Road, Blythewood, SC 29016. Pastor Eddie W. Davis, officiating. Interment to follow in the Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Public Viewing will be held from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 at A. A.
