Rev Willie Consee Brabham
January 26, 1945 - December 5, 2018
Minister Consee Brabham, son of the late Ollie and Rosa Odom-Brabham, Sr., was born January 26, 1945 in Bamberg County, South Carolina. Consee graduated from Voorhees High School and attended Denmark Technical College. He served honorably in the United States Army. Consee served on the Deacon’s Ministry of Friendship Baptist Church. He attended Morris College Ministerial Extension Program where he became an ordained minister of the Gospel. He furthered his education at Central Christian University but, among everything else, he was a dedicated truck driver and was the owner/operator of Brabham Refrigerated Transport. Consee enjoyed riding his motorcycle as well. “Chicken”, as he was affectionately known, was known by his family as a kind, loving, gentle man that would do anyone a favor; especially for peace’s sake. He had a calm demeanor and was very laid back. Consee was very compassionate yet, funny. He knew God had the answer and would often make opportunities teachable moments. Minister Brabham was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and three sisters. Left to cherish precious memories: his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Wright Brabham; his children, Jessica Brown, Keith Wright, Rhonda (Felix) Harvin, Stacy Odom, Roxanne Brabham and LaTrell Brabham; seventeen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorthy and Nettie Mae Conelly; three brothers, Isaiah (Fredrina) Odom, Leland Odom and Joe Allen (Rose) Odom; eight sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, four aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
