Memorial service for Mr. Robert L. Boone of Columbia, SC will be held on Saturday January 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel, 2548 Main Street, Columbia. Mr. Boone entered into rest on Friday January 9, 2015. A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel, 2548 Main Street, Columbia is in charge of these arrangements. He was born August 12, 1959 in Columbia, SC. He was a loving son of the late Melvin and Ruthie Mae Boone. Robert graduated from Dreher High School and attended the University of South Carolina. Mr. Boone also Served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He dedicated his life to Christ last year and joined the Village of Hope Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles Austin. Boone”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a loving father and great friend to many. Robert was preceded in death by a son, Antonio Frye. However, left to cherish precious memories are: a son, Tyrone (Yolanda) Smith; sisters, Ruby B. Thompson-Smith, Laverne Boone, Diane B. Houser, Carolyn Washington Garrett, Janie Mae (Julius) Hugeine and Kathy (Carlos) Jacobs; brothers, Larry (Ruby) Benson, Levonne C. Boone, Charles (Lou), Ernest (Juilett) and Nathaniel (Pauline) Shiver and Gerald Cannon; three aunts and uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
