He was the beloved son of the late Leila Brown Moses and Frank Moses. He was loving husband for forty-five years to the late Mary Williams Moses. On Friday, January 29, 2021, our Heavenly Father called him home. He devoted his life to serving his family and caring for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the founder of the Moses Family Reunion from 1984 until his death, and he made sure he kept the family together. When Deacon Moses, Sr., moved from Bishopville, SC he became a member of St. Mark Baptist Church. He visited several churches before becoming the founder of Fellowship Baptist Church. As a member of Fellowship, he served as a Trustee, Deacon, and was a member of the Male Chorus. He also served as president of the Usher’s Board, and was a member of the Capital City Usher’s Union, serving in all capacities, until his health began to fail. He was a godly man and loved the Lord. He was an employee of Forest Lake Country Club for many years, then worked and retired from Fort Jackson Country Club. His duties at the Country Club was to maintain the irrigation system. Deacon Moses even engaged in plumbing work, and was a skilled plumber, without formal training. Deacon Moses was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Leila Brown Moses, his wife, Mary Williams Moses, two children, Isaac Moses, Jr., and Paul Anthony Moses, and four siblings, McKinley, Frank and Randolph Moses, and Gertrude Moses Williams. Deacon Moses leaves to cherish his loving memories: his daughter, Mary Ann Holley (Wesley) Leaphart, Mary Alice Moses, Margaret Mitchell, and Debra Moses-Wyatt; a son Ernest Leroy Moses; a sister, Inell Moses-Jenkins; a brother-in-law, Westbury Jenkins, ten grandchildren; nine-teen great-grandchildren; a longtime, dear friend, Eli Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
