Mr. Harold Edward Ross, Sr.

July 6, 1945 - September 18, 2013

Funeral services for "Big Ross" were held Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Zion Baptist Church on Washington Street. Interment followed in the Greenlawn Memorial Park. He was born January 6, 1945 to Nancy Belton Ross and the late John W. Ross. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Jacqueline D. Goodwin. To this union, three children were born. Harold was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina. He attended the public schools of Richland Couand and was a graduate from Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1966. He pursued his passion as a welder and was employed by Midland Manufacturing and Lock Joint Company both in Columbia, South Carolina. Left to cherish precious and fond memories are his children, LaShawn Ross (Gerald) Cox, LaTarsha (Gregory) Dixon and Harold E. Ross, Jr.; mother, Nancy Ross Jackson; grandchildren, Parris D. Ross, Brianna C. Amaker and Justice Ross Dixon; great grandchild, Chadaisha A. Seawright; special aunt Louise Hall and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
