Ella Cook Ervin

Ms. Ella Mae Cook Ervin was born on July 6, 1942 to the late Issac and Lillie Mae Bell Cook, Sr. in Fairfield County, South Carolina. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church. Ella was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County where she played basketball at McCory-Liston High School. Ms. Ervin worked in housekeeping until her retirement and then enjoyed spending time with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She loved puzzle books, game shows and reading her Bible. Ella was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Cora Lee Smith, Johnnie Mae Thompson, Alice Henderson and Maggie L. Henderson; brothers, Eddie and Issac Cook, Jr. Left to cherish precious memories are: a devoted son, Michael (Teresa) Ervin; grandchildren, Tamera, Alaina Ervin and Quinteria Ervin; sister, Roberta (Paul) Bright; sister-in-law, Willie Mae Cook all of Columbia, South Carolina and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other loving relatives and friends, all whom will miss her dearly.
