Funeral Services for Mr. Costello Richardson, Jr. will be held Thursday. November 11, 2021 at 5pm at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Richardson, Jr. died on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Columbia, SC. Mr. Costello Richardson Jr., known to family as “The Man that don’t Drink Mellow Yellow” was born on November 14, 1961. He was the beloved son of Sam Rickerson and Julia Cole. Costello was the second oldest of five children. On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, Costello departed this earthly life at The Veterans Administration Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Costello was always full of life and making everyone laugh. Whenever there was any type of family function, he made sure he hit those dance moves even though he was never on beat. Always a jokester, you can be sure that he’s going to crack a joke on you or make up a rap song off the top of his head. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Marie Kenley Richardson. Mr. Costello Richardson Jr., leaves to mourn his passing: his sons, Timothy Kenley, Aaron Richardson, Costello Richardson lll, and Michael Richardson, of Tacoma, Washington; his grandchildren, Hazel and Skye Kenley, Jamil Richardson, and Imani Marie- Moniz-Richardson, all of Tacoma, Washington; his sister, Shawn Rickerson (Zanthia Sumpter); a step-sister, Kristie Jones; sister-in-law, Phalecia Rickerson, Edna Rump, Sandra (Donny) Thompson, of Columbia, SC, Bridgette Gilchrist of Atlanta, GA; an aunt Mary Anderson; two nephews, Rodriquez Harmon and Justin Rickerson; Five nieces, Iesha Rickerson, Unity Eady, Iyona Rickerson, Cherise Wilson, Kennedi Watson; cousins, who were like siblings, Jacob, Pandora, and Valerie Anderson, McArthur Davis, Lillie Mabray, and Dennis Cole; special cousin, Catherine Walker, who was like an aunt; many others loving relatives and caring friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
