Mr. Corey Henderson departed this life on October 8, 2015. Funeral Services for Mr. Henderson will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1237 House Street, Columbia, SC. Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2015 from NOON - 6:00 PM. Mr. Corey Xavier Henderson was born January 12, 1977 in Columbia, SC to Clarence Wells and Sharon Henderson Preston. He was baptized at an early age at the Progressive Church in Hopkins, SC. "Black Bass", as he was affectionately known by his friends, attended the public schools of Richland County School District One. He was employed at various local restaurants as a fry cook and enjoyed sports; particularly football and basketball. Corey was an avid Clemson Tigers College and Dallas Cowboys Football Fan. His other joys were cutting hair, reading and poetry; which he associated in his rap singing. Corey loved his family especially his children and did what was necessary to provide for them. His other passion was breeding dogs and caring for them. Left to cherish memories are: his children, Dasia Nicole Henderson, Jalanee Ramon McDaniel, Taylor Briana Henderson and Kali Xavier Henderson; his parents Clarence Wells and Sharon Preston; brothers, Chris (Sha'Nelle) Wells and Kevin (Yolanda) Henderson; sisters, Angela Wells, Ashley Bates and Tiffany and Ebony Henderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; his beloved pets, Caesar and Molly and other friends.
