She departed this earthly life, on Saturday, December 16, 2020, with the love of her life, Tyrone Sanders. Connie was an active member of the church, and always wore her Sunday’s best. Connie left a wonderful impression on those she met. She loved to make people laugh and smile. She was truly the clown of the family. No matter the task, big or small, she would do her best. Connie always made sure she was doing what was right and she stayed true to herself. For twenty-four years, Connie and Tyrone enjoyed life together with their children, Sherita and Terry. She loved her husband with all of her heart, and no matter what they went through, they were together until the end. She worked as a dispatcher alongside her husband Tyrone, with the Blue Ribbon Taxi Company. Connie loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys play football, and would never miss a game on television. There wasn't a day where Connie and Tyrone did not call each other. She will me missed dearly by all who knew her. Connie Denise Sanders leaves to cherish: her children, Terry (Latia) Dorsey Jr., of Orlando, FL and Sherita Richardson, of Forest City, NC; sisters, Billie (Vonnie) Roberts, Hickory, NC, Francine Patterson, Gastonia, NC, Deshawn Littlejohn, Hickory, NC, and Fachon Toms, Lawndale, NC; Douglas Littlejohn, Olan Toms, and Bobby Toms, all of Shelby, NC, and Paul Richardson, Charlotte, NC; a brother-in-law, Eddie Sanders; five sisters-in-law, Bernice (George) Heyward, Fayetteville, NC, Floretta Tucker, Cathy Sanders, Inez Sanders, and Alfreda (Tony) Fanning, all of Columbia, SC; ten grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
