Dicks Funeral Home - Sullivan Chapel, 2548 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church, 1237 House Street, Columbia, SC 29204. Interment to follow at The Promised Land Cemetery. Ms. Bridgette Darlene Tucker, aka "Cookie", was born April 17, 1964 in Columbia, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Bridgette attended the public schools in Richland County District One and Two. She worked at various dry-cleaning services and food establishments. She had a very kind and loving spirit about herself. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, House Street, where she delivered her initial sermon and was licensed to preach The Gospel. Bridgette was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Green Tucker; father, Melvin Tucker, Sr.; a sister, Felicia F. Tucker and her maternal grandparents, Marquerite Hoskins and Mr. Robert Green. Left to cherish precious memories are: a daughter, Johnetta W. Tucker; a son, John W. Tucker; four grandchildren, Melan Bickley, Kaelyn Scott, Johntez Jacobs and Kensley Tucker; a special friend, Earl C. Brown and her special niece, Kiesha L. Jones, all of Columbia, South Carolina; sisters, Valerie (Michael) Rankin, Audrey (Vandell) McCary; brother, Melvin (Lorna) Tucker, Jr.; aunts, Eloise Butts and Viola Tucker; uncles, Freddie Hoskins and Richard Morris all of Columbia South Carolina; tree nieces, five nephews and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family and friends.
