Murrell and the late Daniel Murrell. In November 1944, his mother married, Mr. Leroy Alexander, who became a second father to Billy. Billy was educated in the public schools of Richland County, and graduated from Eau Claire High School. He continued his education at Midlands Technical College, and majored in Business Administration and Graphic Design. Billy was a loving kind-hearted person with a gentle spirit. He will long be remembered for his musical abilities and smile that would brighten up any room he entered. He had a special love for his cats, Egypt and Oreo, whom he loved dearly. Mr. Billy Ray Murrell leaves to mourn his memories: his parents, Leroy and Mariam Alexander; his brothers, Daniel Jerome Murrell, Columbia, SC and Sean Alexander, Decatur, GA; a sister, Darnetta (Ejuan) Murrell-Jones, Columbia, SC; four nephews and one niece; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
