Funeral services for Mr. Albert Dewitt Buffalo 87,will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel, 2548 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Public viewing will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 12-7 p.m. A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel, 2548 Main Street, Columbia is in charge of these services. Albert was born May 11, 1928 in New York City. He was the son of the late Thomas E. and Geneva Hill Buffalo. He entered into rest on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Palmetto Health Richland. Albert, affectionately known to most as "Albie", was educated in the public schools in NYC. Ablie was employed with Johnson Publishing Company as a publication distributor, in NYC and was responsible for acquiring and maintaining distribution points for Ebony and Jet magazines. He later became Stage Manager for the Ebony Fashion Fair Shows. He later moved to Las Vegas, where he was employed as a Floor Manager at the Hilton's casino. He retired briefly and returned to work the floor at a smaller Vegas casino. He is preceded in death by his devoted daughter, Lucy Buffalo Brown, his one and only sister, Ethel Hassell and two brothers, Edward and Thomas Buffalo. He leaves to mourn his daughter, Arlene Jackson of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren, Sam A. Jackson (Alexis) of Columbia, SC, Tyger Brown of Atlanta, GA, Sebastian Brown of Columbia, SC, France Jackson of Gainsville, FL and Samone Jackson of Columbia, SC; Three precious great grandchildren, A'Miya and Sebastian, Jr. both of Columbia, SC and Jaxon Brown of Atlanta, GA. A special niece, Renee Sylvia Hassell and her family of NYC, niece, Belinda Buffalo and nephew, Thomas Buffalo, Jr. both of NYC; a special friend, LaVaul Griffin of Las Vegas, NV and a host of other nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
