Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Little Zion Baptist Church, 8229 Winnsboro Rd, Blythewood, SC 29016. Interment will follow in The Church Cemetery. Mary Magdalene Entzminger, affectionately known as “Mae”, was born to the late Sanker and Mary Hunter Entzminger as the eighth of eleven children. She was born on June 13, 1956 in Richland County, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on April 8, 2021 at PRISMA Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. Mae was educated in Richland County Public Schools. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1974. She earned her Associate's Degree from Denmark Technical College in 1976. She worked as a talented seamstress over 40 years working at Lourie's, S&K Famous Brand, Inc., Select Comfort and Fort Jackson throughout her career. She joined Little Zion Baptist Church at a young age, where she was a member of the Junior Usher Board, Junior Gospel Choir and Sunday School. Mae was truly blessed and very much loved by her family and friends. She often greeted her loved ones with, “Hey daaaaar-lin!” Her smile was warm, and her laugh was infectious. Boy, did she love to laugh! Although Mae was lowkey, she lived a rich and adventurous life. She enjoyed traveling with her family, especially with her sisters and nieces, across the world. She travelled throughout the US and Canada as well as London, Europe, France and Greece. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and watching sports and Hallmark movies. She absolutely loved spending time with her grand-nephews, Kareem, Amir, Josiah, and Ayden. They often played football, hide-and-seek and took turns sitting on her lap. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David James Entzminger, and her nephew, Ivan Samuels. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her sisters, Louise Entzminger and Helen Ruth Entzminger, of Blythewood, SC, Dorothy (David) Samuels, Queen Esther Gillespie, and Carolyn (James) Seals, of Columbia, SC, and Sharon Patricia Entzminger, of Whitsett, NC; brothers, John Wesley Entzminger, Joseph Entzminger and Reverend Robert (Carolyn) Entzminger, of Blythewood, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives who will miss her dearly.
