Mrs. Evelyn D. Hart

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2a (NWT) - There is an appointed time for everything, a time for every activity under the heavens:2aA time for birth and a time to die… A Time for Birth Mrs. Evelyn Deloris (Rhinehart) Hart was born to the late Mr. Sam Gates and the late Ms. Rosa Mae Rhinehart on August 20, 1943, in Saluda, South Carolina. A Time to Live Mrs. Hart started her journey in Saluda South Carolina. She was adopted by her grandaunt, Della Holloway Pickens and moved to Batesburg, South Carolina until she was a pre-teen. She was then reunited with her birth mother in Columbia, South Carolina where she helped to raise her siblings. She later married Mr. John Henry Hart, Jr. and started a family and collaborated and created a pet care business out of their home in the historic Roosevelt Village community. Mrs. Hart started and finished her formal career with the South Department of Mental Health where she was trained in and became a subject matter expert in nutrition and healthy food preparation. In her spare time, she furthered her skills in culinary arts. Mrs. Hart was blessed with wisdom beyond measure where family would come to her to be counselled, consoled or encouraged. A Time to Die On Thursday evening, November 3, 2022, Mrs. Evelyn Delois Hart passed into eternal rest. 2 Corinthians 5:8 ( NLT) Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. A Time to Cherish She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Mrs. Adele Davenport, Mrs. Joyce McFadden, Ms. Inez Rhinehart, Mrs. Lillie Mae Jacobs, Ms. Margaret Rhinehart, and Ms. Sarah Mae Rhinehart; her brothers, Mr. Billy Rhinehart and Mr. Johnny Rhinehart; her oldest daughter, Mrs. Fatimah Keeno (Johnnie Mae); and two grandsons, Mr. Christopher O. Hart and Mr. Jerome L. Hart. Mrs. Hart’s loving memories will remain in the hearts of her four sons, Mr. John H. Hart, III, Dr. Ted L. (Sheila) Hart, Mr. Bobby O. (April) Hart and Danny L. (Cyntoys) Hart; her daughter, Ms. Trannie C. Vereen; her brother, Mr. Sammie B. (Mittie) Burris; and her special daughter-in-law, Ms. Tracy R. Brown, all from Columbia, South Carolina; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one aunt, Mrs. Viola Rudd from Virginia; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. The Hart family acknowledges with grateful appreciation, all of your kind expressions of love and sympathy. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2022 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1237 House Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29204. Reverend Charles W. Davenport, officiating. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbia. Public viewing will be from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022 and 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2022 at A. A.
