Funeral service will be held 12 noon, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1237 House Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29204. Pastor A. A. Dicks, Sr. Officiating. Interment to follow in The Promised Land Cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel. Tony was educated in Richland County public schools. He was a 1987 graduate of C.A. Johnson High School. Tony was a loving husband, father, brother, nephew and uncle who loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family to include planning family trips, playing cards and being the life of the party. He was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served in a several ministries: such as Male Chorus, Homeless Feeding Ministry and Deacon's Ministry. He was employed with Bluemax Transportation as an over the road truck driver where he had been over 10 years. His hobbies were going out to each, watching basketball and football. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. Tony leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Janice Smith-Bell, daughter Sidney Bell, son DeAndre Smith, sister Joyce Bell, aunt Diana B. Peters, uncle Melvin (Jacqueline) Bell, all of Columbia, SC; two sisters-in-law, Sonja Mack of Columbia, SC and Tawanda Smith of Gastonia, NC; mother and father-in-law, Mary (Jimmie) Smith of Columbia, SC; five nieces Lakia Carter and Vashni Mack of Columbia, SC, Otisa (Kedric) Gamble of Charleston, SC, Zana and Marissa Mack both of Columbia, SC; two nephews, Elijah Taylor and Nehemiah Smith of Gastonia, NC; three great nephews, K'Vion Taylor and Zarrian Mack of Columbia, SC, Xy'Mir Gamble of Charleston, SC and a host of other relatives and friends whom will miss him dearly.
