Ms. Brenda Buckson

Ms. Brenda "Linda" Buckson, 69, of Aiken, South Carolina has entered into eternal rest on June 25, 2026 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 21, 1957, to Margaret Parker Buckson. She grew up with a strong foundation of faith, love, and determination, qualities that shaped the beautiful life lives she touched. She was a proud graduate of Freedom Vocational High School, where she graduated with honors, a reflection of her commitment to excellence and her desire to always do her best. Brenda also attended Nursing School and later became a CNA, dedicating herself to caring for others with compassion and dignity. Her career began at Savannah River Site, where she worked faithfully and built a reputation for being dependable, hardworking, and strong. Brenda was devoted member of Word of Life Assembly Church and was ordained to the Ministry of Ourtreach on July 9, 2017 at New Vision Worship Center. Her faith was central to her life. She loved praying, studying her Bible, and sharing her belief in God through her words and actions. She was known for her quiet strength, her private natureeeee, and her "tiny but mighty" personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Above all, Brenda was a provider, a Prophet, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother. She was preded in death by her brother, Fred Buckson. She leaves behind her two children, Reginald Simmons and Keshia Simmons (Jose) Ortiz; five grandchildren, Kesean Walker, Re'Gionna Simmons, Zion Fullard, Kristen Ortiz and Lynx Ortiz; three step-children, Jhonny Ortiz, Shairan Ortiz, and Geysha Ortiz; two great-grandchildren, Navy and Neal Blair, Jr.; two sisters, Diane Harris Brown and Jessie Harris; a brother, Henry (Mattie) Buckson, Sr., and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Word of Life Assembly, 332 Legion Road, Warrenville, South Carolina 29851. Interment to follow in the Walker Memorial Park. Pastor William Harmon, officiate, Bishop Perry Smith, Sr., presiding. Ms. Buckson will lie in-state at the church one hour prior to the service time. Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2026 at Jackson Brooks Funeral Home, 126 Fairfield Street SE, Aiken, South Carolina 29801.
