Mrs. Annie K. Allison

Our beautiful Mother was born in LaFayette, Kentucky to James Henry Moss and Sarah Agnes Whitlock Moss. She departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2022 and is now safe in the arms of her Heavenly Father, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She spent her early years in Clarksville, Tennessee where she attended and graduated from Burt High School. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully served in the choir. Later, she moved to Columbia, South Carolina where she joined First Nazareth Baptist Church and faithfully attended until her demise. Mother was employed by First National Bank, Wachovia Bank, and University of South Carolina Controller’s Office where she later retired. She greeted everyone with a smile; no one was a stranger. Mother was always energetic and full of life, always keeping herself busy. Along with attending her church, her greatest joy was being outdoors and working in her yard with her best friend by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Allison; her parents; a brother, James C. Moss. She is survived by her children, Charles G. (Cynthia) London, Wandola D. London, Anthony D. London, and Annette P. Scott; brothers, George E. Moss and Morris B. (Cynthia) Moss; sisters, Nora Moss (Charles) Norfleet, Thelma Moss Batson, Brenda Moss Fitzgerald, Linda F. Moss, Rosa Moss Williams, and Olivia Moss Carr; grandchildren, Kelina Johnson, Nicholas London, Brittany Johnson, DeShauna London, Palmer Scott II, Celine London, and Cynne London; four great-grandchildren, her children’s father, Charles D. London, and a host of relatives and friends. The Allison family acknowledges with grateful appreciation, all of your kind expressions of love and sympathy. Funeral service will be 12 noon, Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1237 House Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29204. Reverend A. A. Dicks, Sr., Pastor, Reverend Dr. Blakely N.
